Quebec Precious Metals Corporation (“QPM”):
QPM is a gold explorer with a large land position in the highly prospective Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory, Quebec, near Newmont Corporation’s Éléonore gold mine. QPM’s flagship project is the Sakami project with significant grades and well-defined drill-ready targets. QPM’s goal is to rapidly explore the Project and to advance to the mineral resource estimate stage.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, responsible to lead and manage the regional and deposit-scale exploration programs and drilling activities for QPM. This includes:
- Planning, directing and supervising all exploration activities in a cost-effective, safe, environmentally and socially sound manner in coordination with the exploration team in the field
- Ensuring the preparation and compliance with the approved exploration budget
- Identifying and reviewing new mineral exploration projects for acquisition and with the negotiation of option or joint venture agreements
The individual will be part of the technical team, providing technical leadership and knowledge to the company in the following areas:
- Support the company’s exploration projects through technical assistance, mentoring, technical leadership
- Support the company’s executive management with mineral exploration expertise
- Assist with the preparation of mineral resource estimates
- Assist with and contribute to corporate development, strategy and reporting needs
Qualifications/Experience:
- University degree in Geology or Geological Engineering with strong financial skills and understanding
- Registered or qualified for registration as a Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer in Quebec
- Strong and varied experience (large to small company and consulting) with +10 years in the industry, preferably including head office and field exploration roles, with significant exposure to gold sector
- Must be dynamic, self-motivated and demonstrate a determination to excel and commitment to action and be able to transfer these attributes to company’s business activities
- Strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to write reports and interact with peers and executive management
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills
- Understanding and performance of mineral resource company valuations, including cashflow models, and comparative analyses
- Highly competent at geological interpretation, computer-aided collection, analysis and 3D modelling of exploration data
- Capable to provide technical advice and guidance to consultants and to comment on various technical reports and analysis
- Experience with both owner-operated and contracted exploration services an asset
- Familiar with the company’s NI 43-101 obligations, and preferably a Qualified Person under NI 43-101
- Able to show success in meeting objectives and budgets
- Equally comfortable in the boardroom and at exploration and mine sites
- Entrepreneurial, flexible and creative
- English required
- Travel at about 50% – extended periods is not the norm but may be required on occasion. Short-term travel, often on short notice, is likely
